Welcome

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Nordic Symposium on Metabolic Disorders (NSMD). Mercodia is proud to host this interdisciplinary conference, from obesity and diabetes to development of atherosclerosis. We offer a preclinical symposium for interdisciplinary discussions to advance research. The event will take place at Skåvsjöholm, a conference hotel located in the archipelago only 25 minutes from the center of Stockholm.

ELISA Technology Training

Prior the symposium an optional ELISA technology training will be held at Mercodia AB in Uppsala on Thursday 9 February. The training is complimentary and includes hands on training and topics like ELISA technology and reagents, measurement quality and assay validation.

Profile of attendance

Approximately 70 participants are expected to attend NSMD. With the strong scientific and preclinical program combined with the beautiful surroundings of the Stockholm archipelago we hope to attract prominent researchers within the disciplines of obesity, diabetes and atherosclerosis.

Congress Scholarship

For participation in the NSMD meeting, Lions Club Upsala Disa (www.lions-club-Upsala-disa.se) announces a scholarship of 10 000 SEK in support of a young female scientist associated with Uppsala University. Applications should be included with abstract submissions, which must be sent to nsmd@mercodia.com before November 30.

 

Alcuin Translations AB announces Congress Scholarship

Alcuin Translations AB announces a scholarship to support a young Scandinavian scientist in his/her first doctorate year. The scholarship includes the registration fee for participation in the NSMD meeting. Applications should be included with abstract submissions, which must be sent to nsmd@mercodia.com before November 30.
