New Porcine Insulin ELISA

With improved specificity and overall superior performance characteristics. No crossreactivity to C-peptide or proinsulin.

The measurement of insulin is today increasingly important in many research fields. Islet cell transplantation is one focus area where the shortage of human donors and difficulty in isolating purified islets from human pancreas has drawn attention to the possibility of xenotransplantation with porcine pancreatic islets. Extensive research on how to improve the nutritional, metabolic and health status of ruminants is another area in focus. Mercodias Porcine Insulin ELISA provides a method for the quantitative determination of insulin specially evaluated and optimized for porcine samples.
